Sheepskin Rug

Transform your living space with the timeless elegance of our genuine sheepskin rugs. 
Tanned in Waternish in Skye by the excellent crafters at Skyeskyns, using traditional handcrafting and hand finishing methods. The team at Skyeskyns have perfected an environmentally friendly mimosa bark tan, any waste products are put back into growing the soil on their family croft.  They are at the forefront of keeping these methods alive and creating a useful product which helps to reduce waste. I am delighted to be able to work with them to create a fabulous product, that goes well with the ethos of how we run The Croft.

All the sheepskins we sell come from our own lambs, which have been sold as lamb boxes. This has allowed us to utilise a product which would normally be classed as a waste product.

Sheepskin rugs are ideal for draping over furniture, laying by the fireplace, or adding a cosy touch to your bedroom or living room, these rugs are versatile and stylish. The natural wool fibres are hypoallergenic, making them suitable for those with sensitivities, while also being eco-friendly and sustainable.
Above all they are durable and will last a long time with minimal care.

Each rug is approximately 90-95cm long and 65-75cm wide. As it’s a natural product sizes do vary slightly.
They are a creamy white colour, with dense cosy fibres.
Please note that the colour description states white, but no wool is a true white, they are all varying shades of cream. 

I offer collection from The Croft,  local delivery for £5 per rug, or postage for £10.
